Kelly Gilmore, MSW, LCSW

I have spent the last 20 years working with individuals and families who have experienced a wide array of triumphs and challenges. I have been lucky to live in a variety of places, and have met, listened to and learned from amazing people. I earned my MSW from the University of Washington and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon. From my years in the field, I know the hardest thing to do is to pick up the phone and make that first call, so, before you pick up that phone, I want to give you some reassurance. I will treat you with compassion and respect; we will go at your own pace, and I will support you as you make the decisions that work best for you. I have a flexible schedule and I can meet with you evenings and weekends. I look forward to hearing from you, you can call 503-288-9290 or email me at kg@ccc4therapy.com

Change begins at the end of your comfort zone.

My areas of interest are:

Family Issues - even your most caring relationships can experience hardships and difficulties. Talking about your relationship patterns can help you recognize how to improve the interactions with the ones you love.

Healing from sexual abuse and relational trauma - I have 18 years working with victims of sexual abuse, sexual trauma, and relational trauma.

Involvement with DHS and other court related systems - I have 20 years working with parents involved with Child Welfare and the court system. I recognize that emotional support is absolutely critical when caregivers are working with the Child Welfare or criminal justice system.

Parenting and caring for loved ones of all ages - Caring for a loved one can be both challenging and rewarding at the same time. Talking to someone about the complex emotions that often accompany caregiving can help alleviate the stress and burnout emotions often experienced by caregivers.

Relational issues - I understand that even the most caring relationships can at times be difficult. Talking about relational issues can help you understand how to better cope with your relationships with loved ones.

Grief and loss - Grief and loss can linger when we lose a loved one, a beloved pet, a friendship, or employment. Working through grief and loss can help you honor those feelings.

I have training in CBT, Psychodynamics theory, motivational interviewing, and collaborative problem solving. I am an Oregon State approved supervisor for social workers with a CSWA who are working towards licensure.
